About Us

Capital Capital was founded with the vision to provide high-quality, independent advice to our clients.

Our partners have a range of top-tier experience in advisory services, corporate strategy, investment, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and founding and exiting businesses.

One of our founding partners also has experience in founding and growing a business from two staff working out of a basement to over 100 people and a $100m valuation at exit.

This combination of experience and skills serves as the foundation of our unique value offering which we believe is not replicated by any other corporate advisory firm in Australia.

Our name is intentionally a little cheeky. But hopefully memorable.

Our Founding & Management Team

Corey Yung

Co-Founder & Managing Director

Corey has over 15+ years of broad, top-tier experience across investment banking, investments, corporate development / strategy and marketing.

Corey’s experience include M&A and investments at Macquarie Capital, corporate advisory at Luminis Partners, and most recently corporate strategy, business development and venture investments at Seven West Media. Corey is also actively involved in assisting growth companies where he sits on numerous advisory boards.

Prior to these roles Corey worked in the advertising, digital marketing and music industries (across both creative and strategy) at some of the world’s leading agencies and record labels.

With this rounded experience, Corey brings relevant insights from both the corporate and venture capital approaches to buy-side opportunities, as well optimal positioning and strategies for sell-side processes.

Corey is tragic at many things - surfing, football, triathlons, music, art, and more - and is also a Liverpool FC tragic.

CHRIS WIRASINHA

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Chris co-founded Pedestrian.tv in 2005 and built it into Australia’s most successful digital publishing start-up. Chris then managed Pedestrian’s successful sale and exit to Nine Entertainment, taking the business from a $15m valuation in 2015 to a $100m valuation just three years later.

This deal saw Pedestrian achieve the largest ever exit for a digital publisher in Australia and deliver Nine a significant growth asset.

Chris provides first-hand insights and expertise from a founder perspective on corporate transactions including scaling a business (with an eventual exit in mind), creating competitive buyer tension and structuring successful earn-outs and post-sale structures.
